Glorious and Lively Pre-Opening of GKCW, the Newest Icon of Manado

Attended by government province representatives, crowds who came to Grand Kawanua City Walk (GKCW) were entertained with an energic and wonderful performance from Gio Idol. Pre-Opening events of GKCW on 19 September 2014 went lively with an astonishing total visitors of 2,500 people starting from 5 pm.

In the event of the pre-opening, GKCW management organizes plenty of activities during September and October 2014, including entertainment, bazaar, and contests. Bazaar will showcase plenty of products such as fashion, electronics, otomotives, and many other. Culinary tents area ready to serve visitors' appetite. 

During the month of September 2014 there will be performances of acoustic bands by talented teens of Manado, fashion show, various quizzes, dan games.

During the month of October 2014, plenty of contests will be held, such as Zumba Competition, Modern Dance, Choir dan Acoustic Band performance." said Widijanto, Managing Director AKR Land Development.

During these months, a photo showcase of old and modern Manado, will be held by Manado's photographer community. Furthermore, Otomotives showcase from international brands, fashion show, and Batik Minahasa product showcase will also be conducted.

Pre opening events will be opened by guest star Gio Idol, Manado singer who gained fame in the Indonesian Idol 2014, Christy Miscell, Miss Celebrity 2012 from Manado, and finally Husein Idol, runner-up of Indonesian Idol 2014.

Mall GKCW with an area of 27.500 square meter consists of 4 rentable floors and has specifically designed area to sell gadget and fashion products named Ring and Bling (RnB).

This mall presents plenty of tenants which open in Manado for the first time ever, such as Takigawa, Wendy’s, Quick Silver, DC Shoes, Roxy, Point Break, Rusty, Eprise, and Samsonite. Complete with the largest atrium in Manado and exhibition venues in every floor.

Mall that is developed with a city walk concept, combined with the business and family recreation areas is presented to the people of Manado and North Sulawesi as an area to develop their businesses and also as the new trendsetter of lifestyle," said Widijanto.

In the Pre-Opening event of GKCW, more than 80 percent of the shops have already sign a contract agreement. This Pre-opening event itself is a fitting-out phase for the tenants to welcome Christmas 2014 and New Year 2015. An interesting fact is that 40 percent of these tenants area new tenants who have never opened stores in Manado before.
